Today i had my Sony Cybershot in my hand (in a case) .. i was walking to school than my bus was leaving so i started to run, than when i got on the bus, the camera wasn't in my hand..:|
i found it right now, but i think a car ran over it :S
it looks good, it has a couple scratches, and the "taking picture" button came off, with thee circly thing to change the picture mode....you can't take picstures though :(
i have a ONE YEAR WARRANTY...
do you think they will give me a new camera or fix it?
what should i do? send it to them?
PLEAS PLEAS HELP!

They wont cover customer induced damage. IE, dropping.

The "Taking Picture" button is called the shutter release for future reference. Too bad, though, since the future is here for you. You'll need to buy a new camera, sorry. Warranties cover software or other flaws not caused by the customer. Getting run over buy a car is not one of these. If you're lucky, you might find a good deal at Best Buy or Walmart. Sorry, though.

R.I.P. Sony Cybershot. Its dead. No warranty covers abuse such as dropping it or letting a car run over it. Repairs at your expense will cost more than a new camera.

I suggest a wrist strap when you buy your new camera. Enjoy shopping.
