He is going away for a few years. He could be tried as an adult and receive an adult sentence. If he is lucky, he will be tried as a juvie. Either way, he is a criminal and you need to find a better class of friends, especially boy friends.

What many people don't seem to understand is even though a defendant is a juvenile...depending upon the type of crime...a juvenile can be tried as an adult and receive an adult sentence in prison.

Certainly assault with a deadly weapon is one of those crimes.

Experience tells me that people make mistakes, however, this type of activity should be a "wake-up call" for anybody who is "in love" with a character that resorts to such behavior.

Don't think that you can change a person for the better if that person refuses to change.

Many would say to leave this guy and I can't say I disagree. We all deserve a chance in life and forgiveness of a mistake. This behavior, however, bears considerable watching!

What's to say you aren't his next victim in a fit of anger in domestic violence.

There are some serious issues that cause this type behavior and I suggest you reconsider a relationship with this guy!

Well he's in there until at least Jan 3rd 2008. Depending on where you live, he will be tried for aggravated assault, the crown could also give your BF a plea deal; for example the crown drops the charge down to common assault if your bf agrees to plead guilty. Chances are they will take into consideration a) he's a young offender b) they will also take into affect the time he served in custody for pre-trial. Thirdly what is BBC?

It depends on a lot of things. No one can answer your question with 100% certainty.

1.It depends on your boyfriend past criminal history. Example have he ever been arrested for any type of assault in the past.
2.Another factor that can go against your boyfriend is if he has any other type of criminal conviction in the past that doesn't relate to assault. Example was he ever charge and convicted of robbery, stealing, carrying drugs, destroying private property ect.

If he has only this charge that you state then maybe he can claim self defense and have the sentence reduce to maybe probation, community service and a fine. It all depends on your state laws.

I wish you both luck.

NO ! This boy is going to go down for years ! You might as well move on with your life !!!! You do not want nothing to do with this guy when he gets out of the pen. He will hurt you and treat you like @#$%^&*. Z Go find a nice guy, someone that will keep a job, treat you nice, and give you a life ! Move on !! Do not go to the jail to see this guy, move on and do something with your life, even if it means moving. This guy has nothing else to give you, he will never be able to get a good job, he will end up back in the pen at least 2-3 times for other hateful crimes. Move on

he will probably do at least a couple of years in Juvenile Detention and depending on how serious it was, he may do a little time in adult prison too. He will have a big fine to pay and probation when he gets out of jail.

First you need to find another boyfriend. It is totally up to the judge as to how much time is handed out. Has he been in past trouble? If he has that will go against him. Life is too short to be with a violent person....cut and run for your life.

Hopefully long enough for you to get your head out from where the sun don't shine and find a new boyfriend.

sorry to break it, but if there is evidence, which i pressume their is, he can get a minimum of a few years, i have seen enough cop shows to know this.
