Resistance - FOM has the best graphics, since it's a PS3 exclusive. Multiplayer supports up to 40 players per map! Long single player.
COD 4 - good multiplayer, but single player is very short. It's a multiplatform game, so don't expect true PS3 graphics power.
On 15th of January Haze will come out. Many call this game a Halo killer. You can download two trailers from PSN. I advise you to wait for that one to come out.

I think that War Hawk and Call of Duty 4 are two of the best shooter games out right now.
with war hawk you can fly planes too and it's all online
call of duty has an offline story mode but it's short ish.
if you're looking for intense online battles then definately check out either of these games.

You'll wanna get COD4, Resistance, or UT3. All three games are very good. Warhawk is a really good one as well but its a third person shooter not a first person. The game you can fly planes, drive tanks, jeeps, shoot missles, sniper... and Omega Dawn expansion was just released for it. Its a lot of fun.

Call of duty 4 has the best online but a short campaign, and Resistance has good online and a good long campaign.
Early next year Haze is being released, which I expect will be better than both.

drakes fortune is kinda a shooter and an adventure game i got it yesterday and it is amazing
