There is a difference between taking GED classes on line and taking the GED test. One can enroll in the classes and never actually take the test. Most of the time the classes don't even include the cost and time of taking the test.

There are on line GED classes yes.... I have never heard of a legit state GED test being given on line in the comfort of your own home. He must go to a certified testing center to take his GED test.

We live in a different world today. Just go to your local school and express concerns about getting GED. They will be happy to help. Now your friend can work at his own pace and relax and not have to worry about the school enviroment. Don't give up! Best wishes.

I am a student at a community college and they have a free online GED program. You must first go to the school and be tested, then you can do the rest online.
