2.Have you vomited in an ice cream container at a doctors?
3. When you have a vomiting bug how do you keep close to somewhere you can throw up? (keep a bucket neer by or lay by a toilet)
4. Does covering your mouth with your hand stop the vomit coming out?

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well! ;)
1. I don't care to see, hear, or otherwise know when someone else is vomiting. It tends to make me want to vomit, and I doubt I'm the only one like that. Think of the chain reaction that could start! If I'm that sick, I stay home!
2. To the best of my recollection, I have never vomited into anything at a doctor's office, be it an ice cream container or anything else.
3. When I have the tummy flu, I keep a bucket near by, wherever I am. I've even been known to carry one into the bathroom with me, for fear of not being able to turn around in time (gross I know, but hey, you asked).
4. Covering your mouth with your hand will only buy you a little bit of time - it may keep the first wave in, but once you think about that bit of nastiness being in your mouth, a second wave comes right in behind it and it all has nowhere to go but out.

Great question - I hear New York has a problem with norovirus going around - yuk. Is it ok if others see? - Sometimes it can't be helped. Hopefully they'll just feel sorry for you. What's with the ice cream container questions? That's pretty funny - I'd say use whatever is handy, but then dispose of properly. I prefer not to lay by a toilet, but have had a trashcan by the couch. Covering your mouth will probably only momentarily delay the inevitable unless you can manage to swallow it back before it comes out.
