If any of the documents to make a new passport is missing ,for eg. society noc, then what is the alternative?

i am from mumbai, india. my age is 24 yrs.i have all documents but only society people are not giving me noc due to some reason.so whta is the next thing should i do to obtain a passport.

For what reason you require NOC from Housing Society where you live? The only necessary documents required for new passport are proof of age,proof of residence & police verification report. (a) Proof of address (attach one of the following):

Applicant’s ration card, certificate from Employer of reputed companies on letter head, water /telephone /electricity bill/statement of running bank account/Income Tax Assessment Order /Election Commission ID card, Gas connection Bill, Spouse’s passport copy, parent’s passport copy in case of minors. (NOTE: If any applicant submits only ration card as proof of address, it should be accompanied by one more proof of address out of the above categories).

(b) Proof of Date of Birth (attach one of the following):

Birth certificate issued by a Municipal Authority or district office of the Registrar of Births & Deaths;

Date of birth certificate from the school last attended by the applicant or any other recognized educational institution; or an Affidavit sworn before a Magistrate/Notary stating date/place of birth as per the specimen in ANNEXURE ‘A’ by illiterate or semi-illiterate applicants.

So don't worry about the NOC of the society.

I have faced the same problem.I am staying in a rented house since last 3 years.But my landlord & society are not giving the NOC for Passport application.Police verification also done at home but he instructed me to come the Police station with the NOCs and a person who is staying in this society along with all the documents you have submitted fat the time of application.Pls.help.

I dont understand the connection between the "Housiong society NOC" and the "passport" !

NOC from society not necessary for passport. Proof of residence is must. NOC from society is not mentioned anywhere.
