Don't do that. Pigtails, ecspecially braided, are a bit too immature for a 21 year old.

Unless its his birthday night and you're wearing a school girl uniform its probably going to look too young.
You can buy cheap extensions that match your hair color and braid them in as you go to make them thicker.

Personally I don't think any grown woman should wear pig tails. Everytime I see some girl over 10 years old in pig tails my first thought is that she must be really immature.

I think he will like it. My husband loves it when I do my hair that way. Adding mousse while wet or even just blow drying upside down will help it look thicker.
