Ah, you want to impress her with something fancy. But it has to be foolproof.

How about:
Shrimp cocktail
Caesar salad

Surf & Turf: super easy. If you can find some Filet Mignon, Rub it some black pepper, slice it inch-thick and grill it. Drop a few bleu cheese crumbles on top. Get some of the large scallops and pan-fry in butter, just brown each side. Serve with a red Merlot.

or, Veal scallopini, also super easy. Melt about 1/2 stick of butter. Pound some scallopini veal with a meat mallet. Crack an egg, add 2 tablespoons of milk and mix it together. Dunk the veal in the egg, then in flour, then brown it in the butter just a few minutes each side. After the meat is done, put it on a plate and put it in a 200 oven to keep it warm. The next step only takes about 5 minutes. Add 1/4 cup white wine to the hot butter and saute mushrooms in it. Serve with a white chablis.

Steam asparagus in a steamer that you put in the microwave. It takes about 5 minutes. Or you can defrost some frozen veggies.

Something super chocolate for dessert. Drizzle some strawberry sundae sauce on a really cold plate. Microwave a chocolate muffin for 30 seconds. Cut off the top and put the bottom on the cold plate. Put a scoop of french vanilla ice cream on top and chocolate fudge sauce and whipped cream.

Don't forget candles, tablecloth and cloth napkins. Make the room smell nice, too, get a plug-in or something.

Yummmmm. . . .
