I would give him food that will settle his stomach.....rice, toast, bananas....keep it light!

Try toast or a cracker to balance the water intake. He'll probably only eat what he feels like anyway. If he doesn't want it, don't worry. I usually offer plain, simple things that are easy on the digestion, nothing milky if he's vomitted recently. Try also, tinned pears or peaches. All of my 3 respond well to that if they are recovering from anything. They are 9, 5 and just over 2.

His tummy is probably a bit sore and achey and depending on how far digested the food he vomitted was, his throat may be a little sore to due to stomach acid.

Pedialyte is good when vomiting. Try the BRAT diet. Bananas, Rice, Apples & Toast. These things are usually fairly easy on the stomach. However, don't force him. He might just have a little tummy bug. If all he wants is water then just let him sip on it. If he's got no fever and he's not lethargic then he's probably ok.

My daughter is 33 months and she threw up a few times the day before yesterday. She wasn't very active either, sounds like they had the same thing... Give him Pedialyte instead of juice, don't give him anything to eat unless he asks, and when he is ready to eat, let him have foods from the BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast). I did this with my daughter and she is already feeling back to normal already.

What is with all the stupid, joke answers on here?!?! This mom has a legitimate question, here!

Anyway...If he asks for juice, go ahead and give him a glass of it. Also offer him a piece of buttered toast or some crackers. He probably has a bug, but if he keeps throwing up I'd call the doctor.

My daughter's pediatrician always told me that when a child is hungry they will eat. As long as he is drinking then don't worry too much. Pedialyte is good and other than that clear fliuds are good for little ones. If he gets a fever or doesn't eat for a few days then take him to the docs but the fluids will keep him from becoming dehydrated. Poor little thing...=(

he could be hitting a growth spurt as silly as it sounds lol
my son doesn't eat alot and just sleeps alot and I always think he's sick, then the next week or few days later he eats everything in sight and looks like he grows an inch lol

Or pehaps give him some pedialyte to be sure that when he doesn't eat he at least gets the electrolytes so he isn't dehydrated

At this point give him anything that he will drink to keep him hydrated. If he continues to throw up or refuses to drink for more that 8 hours call your doctor. Pop cycles are good at this time. Don't do the red or orange ones. If he eats one of those colors and throws up, the vomit will be red and could be mistaken for blood. Good luck and God Bless

My doctor always tells me not to worry about my kids eating when they are sick, but make sure he drinks. This is the only time he tells me to give them Kool-Aid too, because since they are not eating, the kool-aid has calories in it for some energy. I have found through experience that Pedi-sure is a miracle drink!! Good Luck, hope he's better for Christmas!

Question: What did he eat last night? White Grape juice is a good one for a bad tummy. If he doesn't eat lunch call Doctor for more help. For lunch keep it bland.

You can try gatorade if he is thirsty. Just keep the ozs down for a while. Give less more frequently.

As long as he is drinking and have some wet diapers and no fever you just have to ride it out.

Hope he feels better soon.
