My poodle gets lots of ear infections. I used dermalone on his ears. The one I had expired and he needs some more. We have moved out of state and with my work schedule I'm unable to get him in to the vet. (I work 8 to 5). Is there any way we can get this refilled without a vet visit (which costs a lot also) since we already know that we need it?

Cal your old vet and see if they are willing to fax a script to the new veterinarian. If your veterinarian has not made the prescription an open prescription you need to suck it up, be responsible, and pay for a vet visit around you.

You'll want to have copies of your poodle's medical records. If the prescription is current, you might be able to find a REPUTABLE company who can fill and ship it. The emphasis is on reputable: There are so many scuzzes out there promising to give you meds when all they're doing is running a scam that it's down-right disgusting.

Otherwise, you may have to schedule a check-up for your poodle anyway and find out why he gets so many infections: That just plain doesn't sound right at all.

Good luck.

Have your old Vet fax it to your new Vet. I had a similar situation happen when I moved states. You should be able to stop at the Vet's office to pick up the Prescription.

Start by calling a new local vet. then call your old vet to get your pets medical record faxed over to you. the new vet would then look over the records and refill the prescription.

Does your dog have recurrent yeast infections? Just use a fungicide. The Dermalone is simply a fungicide with neomycin ointment in it. Use an OTC fungicide.

Talk to your new vet.
