I'm sorry if my question's not well put. But ok, I want to ask which should be displayed on the groom's Navy Dress Blues uniform for a wedding. All medals? All ribbons? Or both, since sometimes some awards don't have both a medal and a ribbon to represent them.

What are other standard regulations/rules for Navy uniform Dress Blues for a wedding?

I would go with medals. The Bluejackets Manual reads that you wear medals on the side you usually wear the ribbons. The ribbons that do not have medals you wear on the other side. Also, go to your nearest Navy Exchange and look into having your medals mounted. They look much better. It is pretty pricey, though and could take awhile depending on how big the NEX is. But it does look much better. Also, there is a uniform that is not issued to you called "Dinner Dress" You would have to check it out in the Bluejackets manual and ask at the uniform shop in the NEX. It consists of a coat with tails, cumberbun, the whole works. I think it is really expensive, too.

In the Army it's your choice.

It should say in your uniform manual.

If you wear full medals you do NOT wear ribbons that do not have a medal. You don't mix because that would look stupid.

You can wear unit awards on the other side that do not have medals. (but again that's Army)

Google your regulation

medals..Full size unless the event is extremely formal, then mini.

you only need to wear ribbons with medals(on the opposite side) when attending something the level of a Dining In or Out.

Mine wore his FS medals to our wedding.

In a wedding it would depend on whether it is Formal or Simi-Formal ceremony.
Formal - wear medals
Informal - Wear ribbons

But you might want to check in the uniform regulations to verify what is what and how its worn.
