You can have it done IN-HOME for about $300....

And you won't have to worry about breaking the LIGHT TUNNEL....

You break that and it's another $150.....
And you will need the special tool to adjust the light tunnel.....

Of course the DIY website doesn't tell you about that....

I almost broke one the first time I did it.....

Oh....and they don't tell you about some of the color wheels have an "air bearing" in them, and when you replace it IN the older units that aren't set up for the Air Bearing......

YOUR COLOR looks like PUKE! All pinks and oranges and no blues....

Yep.....that guy got lucky installing his.....

Normally the light engine/color wheel assembly is installed in house and there is no need to transport the t.v. to a repair facility.

I have not had a problem with mine, but I did find some sites with instructions on how to replace the bulb yourself or the color wheel. I put a link below.
