A question asked by anybody with a brain; problem is:

On any given day of the week when you arise after your night's sleep, there are about 50 different wars going on around the world.

Mankind apparently has not advanced enough to find a solution to his differences with his fellow inhabitants of planet earth, save trying to kill the other side of the issue.

Religion is one, if not the primary, culprit in this useless struggle.

Question is: will we advance enough to overcome our current level of human decision making to avoid extincting ourselves or killing the ocean and rest of the planet?

There is a vast difference between being a peacekeeper.... and a peacemaker. A peace keeper gives in, and sometimes this is a cop out because a peacekeeper wants some one else to settle the dispute. A true peace maker is someone who sees with discernment, navigating through and above, and negotiates a peace that is born in just and equality. A peace maker knows how to weigh that which needs to be balanced, also has great ability to step into situations with diplomacy so certain peace and standards are set. In this approach the white flag is raised to new heights and understandings... with healing and a healthier regard for all life. In true peace, no one looses... everyone waves the white flag. For peace is truly restorative and ushers in harmony in unity... that is why peacefulness is so yearned for. Peace causes us all to thrive. My best look into peace... is seeing the life of Jesus Christ, who did give his life, so that oneday peace will be assured. Love Kar

Well I'm pretty sure it is not the one that gets us more material objects. I think working for the betterment of humanity is on the route. I agree with many other answers that following Gods laws and His guidance is an important part of the route. I think we need to have our eyes open, our senses in tune and walk the path that we believe to be truth.

The Reality of God is now at hand just where and as you and I now are ! We don't have to go anywhere. We just sincerely ask Jesus to come into our soul and lovingly and mercifully Guide and Teach us whatever He wants for us. Simple trust in Jesus our Sovereign Savior. What would Jesus do ?

If we can not fully master our minds; we can dare to ask for the perfect mind of our Master Jesus !

Perfect Paradise peace and unending Joy are spiritual gifts from Jesus and the Holy Spirit Partner of Jesus to us from the time we are Spirit-Born in His Father-Son Truth.

No human can attain peace by themselves; it is a gift from our God.

Peace and progress,

In order to chose a path, you need to know where you want to go. Peace, of itself, is not a goal, but a feeling of satisfaction, of harmony with others, etc. But what is important to you, personally? What are your values? There's no "yellow brick road" marked out for you. You have to know where you want to go, then the path to gain that goal will be constructed by your own efforts.

sometimes the hard road is the right road. It is the road that you will grow more. Lessons learned. But with you higher power along with you, to carry you...like "footprint in the sand". In life we all have to make decisions. the choices are the hard part. I always try to choose the path that my conscience can live with. that I would not be embarrassed for anyone to know. sometimes that requires blind faith and sacrifice. thru prayer you can get your answers and have peace even though you may have to sacrifice.

The Narrow road.

Matthew 7:14 (New International Version)

14But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Whichever one you can logically understand and works for you. For me it's Buddhism, but it would be arrogant of me to say that everyone should be Buddhist... arrogant and stupid actually, which is why I refrain from telling others that our way is the best way. Perhaps something else will get you where you choose to be.

Peace itself knows no boundaries... it's all about altruism, compassion, patience, etc. NO MATTER what faith you learn them by.
