A guy I send some pictures to said I'm so pretty. A friend said that he should said beautiful. Is it that he didn't like me that much?

Compliment is a compliment.
You should be thankful you got one.
Pretty, beautiful, good looking, cute..... don't stress on a perticular word.... They are all similar in intension.

"Pretty" is still a compliment but to me that's the equivalent of a man saying a woman is "cute". That's not really an over the top compliment. But if you don't know this guy I wouldn't even worry about it. But I have to agree with your friend. I've sent pictures before and I've gotten stuff like WOW you're hot, or simply gorgeous! Now THOSE are compliments.

It's nice to hear that you're pretty, I'm sure. But I always think that a guy who says that is either shallow (only cares about looks), or trying to butter me up.
A REAL compliment has to with who you really are, such as noticing a really attractive feature that you have or a character trait you show, or it can be about a feeling that he gets when he's with you.
And you shouldn't EXPECT compliments, they're like gifts. But it's good to try to deserve them.

Probably. But some guys see pretty, beautiful and gorgeous as the same thing. Accept the compliment

A compliment is a compliment. You should only be worried if you asked him if he thinks you are pretty OR beautiful and he answered pretty.

Pretty means 'attractive'. Yes, it's a very nice compliment and I guess the guy fancies you.

Hehe. Good move by that guy. He made you think about his comment, which makes you think about him.
Whenever a hot girl comes up to me and asks me if I think they are beautiful, I shrug my shoulders and say "you look okay". This always gets to girls because they are used to being complimented and hit on by guys telling them they are hot but guys who don't think they are beautiful like the other hundred guys makes him stand out.
So about your question, he might/might not like you, but he doesn't care too much about your looks. Show your personality, show how fun and easy going you are!

to be told that you are pretty is a very big compliment.it took me years to accept being told that i was pretty but now i just say a simple thank you.guys dont always say the words that we think we want to hear.to be told you are pretty means beautiful too.guys love pretty girls. hope this helps.

Just take the compliment and stop trying to downplay it. At least he paid you a compliment. He could have told you that you were ugly.

Your reading to much into it and it makes you look insucure . Maybe his friend was trying to be a show off who cares be glad they booth think your pretty and take your pick
