It is not the Mark. It may be a precursor but The Mark will be made on the Forehead or the Right Hand.

I have heard this, but I think there will be more.
The stage is clearly being set for the things to come, and the events that unfold before our eyes are always due to "some" reason. In the end, the result will be the same.
An example: every invention that led to world-wide computers, satellite broadcasts in real time, all these were precursors to the fulfillment of the prophecy of how the whole world will be able to look on the bodies of the two dead witnesses spoken of in Revelation.
Before these inventions, who knew how it could be so literally true? Yet, prophecies are always literally true.
So, who can say where the ID cards will lead to.

Seems like it.
Our new national ID has a computer chip in which is recorded everything about a person! Scary...isn't it? Well, as long as it is not inserted into the skin of the right hand or forehead, we are still safe! However, I understand that certain western countries have already enforced this...for some senior citizens to take their social security allowances.
It's later than we think!

No, the mark is in your forehead, which is in your mind, which means that you've been deceived by the antichrist.
The seven seals
These are given in order of importance, not chronological order, until the 6th seal. Without the seals, or you could say, without God's Word in your mind, you will not know how to overcome, for example, antichrist's flood of lies.

This means to execute the orders, to get it done, and to let you know it's time.

The action takes place here. Or, you could say that this is where the rubber meets the road. God pours His wrath out on His enemies (satan, the fallen angles, and those with the mark of the beast), not on those He’s sealed ... those who love and obey Him.

How does a national ID card relate to people not in the U.S.? Wouldn't the mark of the beast apply for everyone not just U.S. citizens?

If you are referring to the mark 666 -- no.
Ignorance will never be an excuse. IF you are warned, you KNOW. Knowledge is not an excuse. People choose ignorance. They like it. They like their ears tickled. They like doing things their way, without being told it's right or wrong.

Since neither exists, sure, why not. (The REAL ID Act does not create a national ID, just guidelines for state IDs)
