What i mean is like if a man and a woman are dating and the woman messes around with another woman or the man messes around with another man. some of my friends say that it doesn't count the others say it does because it's still cheating regardless. what's your view?

It is still cheating, depending on the person it might not matter as much to them...? But I still think to many people it would be hurtful no matter who their partner cheated on them with since it is sharing an intimate experience with someone else.
Though since I love to pull the 'evolution' card, cheating with a member of the same sex would be less of a threat since there is no chance of procreation but really... see what I said above.

If you are in a relationship with another person, and go with someone else, yes it is cheating.

Of course its cheating...especially when you are in a committed relationship...regardless of what gender you cheat on your spouse with.
