What does it mean when you have a dream that someone you know, but haven't seen in a few years, is dead?

The dream was weird, first, I was in the woods, and I came across this old house, so I went into it, then, all of a sudden, all these ghost appeared! At first, I was scared, but then I found someone that I reconized as my friend Toni Cable, who I havn't seen in about 4 or 5 years....but he said he was dead. At first I was shocked, then I felt sorry for him. He even told me how he died!

I havn't even though about him in forever, but I had this dream a few weeks ago, except he wasn't dead, he was just standing there holding a bible...

Dreams of death are rarely about physical death. They are usually about beginnings and endings, of transitions from one phase of life to another. I don't think that this dream is about your friend, you haven't even seen him in years. He appears to you as a symbol. It's up to you to work out what he represents to you, it could be about a quality he had, or something he said or did while you knew him. But let's say just for giggles, that you are having some sort of psychic communication with him in your sleep. In one dream he has died, in the other he is standing there holding a Bible. If we apply the idea that death is a symbol for beginnings and endings, or of dying to one phase of life to be born again to a new life, if we look at the two dreams together, it would seem that he has found a spiritual renewal of some kind, and perhaps became a born again Christian.......... I don't think you need to worry he has died or going to, there is something else going on here, in any case.... If you really want to be re-assured that he is ok, why don't you try looking him up, maybe you can find him on classmates.com, or contact his parents, or something.......

Sorry to be the barer of bad news but he might be dead already or about to die. If you think you can stop the outcome of his life DONT TEMPT FATE! is all I can say,trying to disturb the natural flow of things is dangerous you could make him die in a worse way or someone else might die along with him if this is truely the case. when it's your time to go its your time to go no use trying to change that and if this wasnt true then why would death have no regards to age,sex,and race?

I've heard that dreams usually don't mean what they portray. if it was about death then its probably trying to tell you that your friend is getting married. it may be an exaggeration. at your local book store you can find books on dreams. they come very handy.
