If you do not provide more than half of your own support, someone else can claim you.

With respect to EIC, if you can be claimed by someone else, you aren't eligible. Even if you can't be claimed, if you do not have a qualifying child of your own, you can't start collecting EIC until you are 25.

You can claim yourself for an exemption if you are providing over half of your own support. But unless you have a qualifying child, you can't claim EIC if you are under 25. It has nothing to do with being a full time college student.

You must be over 25 to claim EITC.
