BOTH! Illegal immigration is wrong, and what does the USA do about it? Give them amnesty! These illegal immigrants are taking our jobs, or social security, our rights! Forcing us to speak their language, share our benefits from working, and much more! It's idiotic! They have NO RIGHT to be here! This is AMERICA, not Mexico, thank you very much! We speak ENGLISH, we have for more than 200 years! Immigrants who come here have always had to learn English, and these illegal immigrants are forcing us to use Spanish in everything we do! On every label, every box, every thing! It's just wrong! We're a free country, but we're not an anarchy! It's just stupid!

Its an invasion of low class, uneducated criminals. If we used the same tactics that the mexican government uses to stop illegal immigration from the south, we'd be the center of rights group protest. They shoot people coming across their southern borders. The criminals government in Mexico hands out information on how to come over here illegally as well as how to collect 1000's of dollars a month in free hand outs. They can get more money being here illegally than an American citizen who worked all their life and collect Social Security.
Illegal immigration is AGAINST the law and this makes all of these dirtbags criminals. Deport every last one of these invaders, put up fences and a no mans land with mines in it.

By all definitions it is a invasion. Latin illegal immigrants do not usually assimilate nor do they have any allegiance to the U.S. There are more military age men in America from Latin countries than in any Latin country's military. When they protest they wave not the American flag. Mexico's government actively educates there people how to access our social services and how to manipulate our system to our harm. While we wring our hands and try to be P.C. the invasion continues. It is a common notion that Texas New Mexico Arizona and most of California all ready belongs to Mexico. We don't have to call it a invasion for us to be invaded just like we don't have to declare war to be at war.

I would say it is both. Here in South Africa, many illegal immigrants are from neighbouring countries past the border. They take up jobs that would be for South Africans, if they can't get jobs they take to crime making our country increasingly unsafe and with the 2010 soccer world cup approaching fast illegal immigrants from Zimbabwe and other countries have become a serious problem which our government is struggling to keep under wraps. Fake Identification Documents and marriage certificates make it easy for them to gain acess to our country. Such as was the case fo a lady who was contacted with connection to her Nigerian drug lord "husband's" arrest. Turns out the poor lady had never met this man before and had a hard time trying to prove it in court.
Hope that proves my point!

Both. Let's hope it's an unarmed invasion. But many places, (like Elgin, IL) are having problems with illegal criminals. Most illegals aren't criminals, but there seems to be a growing population in many places.
My problem is that the illegal immigrants demand rights of us that we could NOT obtain in their country. In fact we give them more rights than their countries give us.
The problem is that businesses keep hiring them, so they keep pouring in. If there was no work, they'd eventually stop coming. Bush's business friends keep hiring them and get no sanctions, or minor wrist slaps, for breaking our laws. And then they claim they need the illegals because Americans won't work for those very low wages. Living wages are needed.

It is a problem because it is an invasion. It is sanctioned by a few greedy Americans who make fortunes off illegals while the rest of us will suffer a decline in standard of living.

I believe you are asking a very broad question here. People seem to think that "immigration" itself is an issue, however, there are many aspects of it that should be discussed. Please narrow down your question to something more specific. Examples:
Immigration regarding:
1. Legal Immigrants
2. Illegal Immigrants
3. Employers who employ these illegal immigrants
4. Politicians who support illegal immigration and those who don't and on both sides, the ones who hire them
5. Impact on our health care system
6. The benefits of having illegal immigrants in our country
7. etc. etc. etc.
Your question, once again, quite broad, seems to have an issue as well. An invasion IS a problem, so please clarify yourself.

Both. Our government allows federal law to be broken so the wealthy can employ illegals at slave wages and drive wages down, then use tax money to encourage business to outsource production to third world sweat shops with no environmental or safety regulations paying slave wages to make a quick buck at all the worker's expense. Tell me, who do they really represent(both parties are in bed together)-certainly not us.
Welcome to the new world order(NAU).

There is no such thing as illegal immigration until some politician puts a label on immigrants coming to the vast land and they cannot make money off them quick enough. Immigration grows makes business pockets full. When you hear that its a problem, keep in mind who is making it a problem and who is standing quietly in the backgrounds.(SMART ENTREPRENEURS!)
The irish, the italians, the scottish, the germans, the chinese, and many many more ethnicities came to this land without papers. How do you account for that invasion?
