flea treats, they are natural, and dogs love them! I think cats can have them, not sure, I don't have cats.
I've been using htem a couple years, learned about them from a friend in california, she's been using them at least since 2000 that I know about.

Better than all those chemicals, and they like them, unlike vinegar and garlic, ew!

Go to the vet get some advantage,, it is not "natural" but a very safe non toxic effective treatment,, one monthy dose may be all you need or two.. in 24 hours after treatment you will have killed all the adult fleas on the pets,, and they will have some relief..
Garlic- actually stop the GARLIC... you know that garlic can cause anemia it is actually toxic to bone marrow in pets,, this plus the added fleas could be serious..
Apple cider vinagar can be safe, although not plesant for the pet,,Do not expect some great help from this either..
As far as "natural" products out there none seem to work,, and I work at a vet and see flea bite anemias in cats and dogs all the time,, with owners who where using one prodct or another while the flea problem was getting out of contol fast.. Neem seems to be the "hot" one now.. sigh.. We have also seen quite a a few cats react (fever, vomiting) after the application of one natural flea product or another with clove oil, neem oil, and such.. very sick pets.. cats are sentitive to a whole lot of things that dogs and people are not,
Natural effective ways..
Vacum everywhere alot (twice a day) and get yourself a real cheap flea color and put a section of it in the bag,, that will kill any fleas you suck up and keep that toxic stuff away from the pets and you.. this is the only use for these stupid things,,
also when you vacum you can get the eggs, larva and pupal stages.. that are in the home invorment before they jump on the pet and feed... if you can keep any new fleas from developing you can break the lifecycle there without treating the pets... almost impossible to do.. but possible.. break the life cycle by getting all the eggs laid,, when the adult fleas die,, no more fleas,,unfortunaly this does mean outdoors also.. as a potential location of the fleas..
Honesly if you get some "advantage", and I mean the brand name stuff NOT some other top spot product.. put it all the pets..on Vacum every day,, put a flea collar in the vacum bag,, you should be able to wipe the flea problem out quickly with minimal use of chemicals,, and not need to use real harsh products..
If you want to help with the itching,, A fatty acid supplemet.. will help repair the skin, reduces the histamine response from the fleas,, and is a good idea too.. and safe,,
Good luck..

Look, fleas are way too tough to be killed by these methods. Garlic and vinegar are NOT going to work! You can keep trying all you want, but eventually you'll see I'm right. Anyway, would YOU want to drink water that had vinegar in it? And how's that supposed to kill fleas anyway?! Don't think for a minute that enough vinegar or garlic gets excreted through the skin to get rid of them.
If you actually want to get rid of these fleas, all of them and fast, get a proper treatment from a vets. These are safe, and effective unlike the flea treatments you buy in pet stores. Stay away from pet store stuff if you want to be safe.
Sorry, but tackling fleas takes a certain amount of money, like all aspects of keeping a pet.

A lesson on flea control.
Fleas can be a real nightmare to get rid of, but, it's not impossible.
First you will want to pick up a mild flea shampoo, read the label, if it says safe for puppies and cats it's a good one.
Bathe everybody on the same day, according to package directions, while you're doing that, wash all the pet's bedding, and sprinkle boric acid powder on your floors and furniture, pay special attention to corners, base boards and under furniture. Leave the boric acid powder down for a couple of days, it's not toxic, then vacuum it up.
10 days later, do the same routine, this should do the trick.
If you are in a warmer climate, you might want to treat your yard also.

to function directly to what "unique" mentioned, even although they're distinctive species, each and every so often cat fleas gets on canines, and dogs fleas gets on cats. There are even rabbit fleas which exist, yet while my bunny had fleas, they weren't rabbit fleas in any respect, they have been cat fleas! Sounds perplexing, would not it?

Natural methods just don't work. Many dogs don't tolerate garlic. Frontline Plus or Advantage are low toxicity and high on effectiveness. Fleas are very unhealthy for your pets so you shouldn't play around with getting rid of them.

forget the garlic..wash not only your pets but rugs and vaccum everything then throw out the sweeper bag..also wash your bedding, blankets, everything! Flea collars help a little but I would get frontline or advantage...the herbal stuff just doesnt work with fleas

there are many natural remedies unfortunately they don't work as well. go to your pet store and buy a bottle of zodiac flea and tick shampoo and also get the spray for there body after they are washed. you can also buy a bottle of furniture spray my suggestion is if you spray your furniture cover the furniture with clean blankets so they are not in direct contact with the chemical. repeat this process every two week for 6-8 weeks because these products don't kill eggs so it has to be repeated. be sure to keep all bedding cleaned regularly and wash all bedding in hot water, this process is cheap and works wonders for my 2 dogs and my one cat
as for natural remedies grind up orange peels and apply to fur. or get penny royal leaves and citronella and eucalyptus oils and mix them in a pH balanced soap. go to a natural store where they sells all natural herbs and products to get these things and go to your library for books on natural remedies for dogs and cats
