It varies depending on the usage.
It's normally 1 Kilometer.
However if used by a sniper and spotter it means meters, i.e. a spotter may say to a sniper 3 clicks left - meaning 3 meters left.

You're referring to "klick", which equals 1 kilometer, which is approximately 0.62 miles.
Even though "click" is commonly accepted, it's not necessarily correct. Click refers to 1 MOA for zeroing, whereas klick refers to the distance. Most military personnel use it interchangeably though, so go with personal preference or societal trend.
If I'm not mistaken, English people also use klick spelled with a "k" as well and their definition / spelling should be ultimate just like herb should be said with an "h." (I'm from Kansas BTW so I might be a bit weird in terms of "herb")

its a kilometre. 1000 metres just over half a mile about 300 yards plus: distance is irrelative when your being plugged through the head by a 5.56 calibre. when used in military terms 100 clicks south is good, 1/2 click north is bad. in short run for cover!

I like the way you think. We had the same revelation at almost the exact same moment. Liberalism isn't about critical thinking skills, it is about justification... The ends justify the means and excuses are the tool used to sell it.
