My dog has been not eating for a day I think theres something wrong I let my bff babysit him for a week and when I came back he had not been eating do you think the bff could have done something with my dog or what could happen to him I just need some advice so i would know what to do with him cause im scared somethings gonna happen.

I think you should take him straight to a vet if he is not eating, better safe than sorry

you should take him to your vet and get him checked out. He may just be sulking because you left him for a week. He may have eaten something that did not agree with him. It could be something minor like this, but it could also be something that needs medical attention. There is really no way to know without taking him in. Unfortunately, one of the things about being a pet owner is vet bills!

Take it in to a vet not eating is the first sign your dog is sick you don't say how long it has been but sounds like days so I would not wait any longer take it now

I would see a VET. But the chances are he had deep anxiety because you were gone. Make sure he has plenty of water until you can get to the Vet. I wouldn't wait any longer than a day and a half and thats stretching it. Good Luck!

Might want to check with a vet.
It's possible that he missed you so badly he refused to eat. My mom's chi would do that if she went away on a trip. She wouldn't eat until Mom came back.
My husband's dachsund does that now, if he's gone overnight, she doesn't eat until he gets home the next day.
Devotion can run strong in some.

Your dog probably missed u, and wait till' tomorrow if he doesn't eat tomorrow call ur vet right away, make sure u give him lots of water to drink though......And also u should ask ur bff if he fed him any bones, or did the dog chew on anything?

Has your dog not eaten for just 1 day or for several days. That makes a huge difference.
Dogs can get very "upset" when they are left with a stranger or at a Kennel. It is not unusual for them to eat less and act sad or strange. If you are really concerned you should consult your vet.
Does your friend have a dog....does he/she know how to take care of a dog? Might want to find somewhere else to leave him next time.

Some dogs don't eat unless their people are home. It's possible that his stomach is upset from not eating. Give him a little yogurt or something that you know he'll eat.. Little bits at a time, see if you can get him eating. Maybe BF was giving him people food all week long!

chewing on his paw eh ?? is he loosing fur ? if he is he is stressed probly because he was with a stranger and not you !! spend some quallity time with him give him some speciall good meat like chicken or turky and some canned meatty dog food .. and keep him warm if he is not eating the next day still and acting like he was before i would take him to the vet .
