Provided that you also believe that this higher power has virtually nothing to do with the day-to-day world, then yes. That's pretty much the textbook definition of deist.

No. A deist believes that God created the world and stepped away. They view the world, and mankind, as a giant machine or a clock that is eventually winding down.

You already gave your answer and by yourself. The way we spell or write the "higher power" doesn't matter. The important is what we feel on our hearts. For the most stoned hearts ask Einstein or more recently, Stephen Hawkins were their studies lead them:
-At the begin of everything there's something higher that no humans can explain, only feel.

No, I don't think so. You're probably just agnostic like me. Deists believe in God, but as quoted from wikipedia: "Deists typically reject supernatural events (prophecy, miracles) and tend to assert that God does not interfere with human life and the laws of the universe".
I'm agnostic. I believe there is some spiritual force that guides us through life but I reject the notion with some confidence (though not totally) that force can reside in one thing or person like God. I think deists accept the idea of God, they just reject the idea that he/she/it is directly involved in the universe. Kind of like watching what happens with what he created?

I'm like that too.. I actually believe that what everyone calls God is in fact energy. My reason is the physics definition of energy: Never changes in amount in the universe, etc...
I would like to form a new school of thought for this and call it something new.

some human beings have different words for that more effective potential. some say God, some say different words. possibly that's an unlimited life stress it is enormous compared to the universe, and someway created the universe and strew us all by it. yet i might want to categorize someone with such an understanding as very conscious. you're conscious.

I think agnostic might be a better description. You would have to define your view of a higher power to be more specific.
