I'm sorry, but there isn't a miniature basset. Why would you want a miniature beagle? Beagles are rather small to begin with. And as they are a hunting dog, with all that lovely instinct, I don't think it'd be such a good idea to shrink them anymore than they already are.
As for the mini poodle and mini dachsund, I believe, and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe they were bred down smaller from the standard sizes of those breeds.

I dont think there is a miniature basset hound. Hounds are usually one size and no other sizes. There are to diferent sizes a beagle can be though,13 inch and 15 inch. Any beagle can be either size. If you look up an miniature basset hound in google images, they will show you dashounds so they call those miniature bassets.
Because the beagle is a hound and there is no bigger beagle like a poodle. If the beagle got any smaller it would be a bad hunting dog so it was made at its size.

Beagles already come in two sizes, 13" and 15". Way back in the beagle's history, they did breed a "pocket" beagle that could be carried in saddlebags. But, these tiny beagles lost their good hunting abilities, including their ringing voices. So, they stopped breeding them.
Occasionally there will be a smaller beagle that is born. But, I'd make very sure that this little one didn't have any birth defects.
There may be miniature basset hounds, but, again, these are not recognized, just smaller bassets. Since the job of a hound is to hunt, anything that interferes with their hunting ability would be discouraged by good breeders.
If you want a smaller dog, why not look at one of the toy breeds, which are a lot of dog in a small package. Or, your local animal shelter or www.petfinder.com may have a beagle mix that is smaller -- I've seen beagle-chihuahua, for example.
The pug-beagle cross is popular, and is smaller than the beagle. Just don't pay the big bucks for a "puggle", which is, again, just another mixed breed. We had a dog at the local animal shelter which looked just like an expensive puggle. You could have saved its life for less than $100!

Err, in some kinds of dogs, there are different sizes. as an example: interior the poodles, there are toy, miniature and criteria. There are miniature, conventional and enormous schnauzers. those are recognized as separate breeds a minimum of by the KC (no longer particular about the AKC, yet I presume it would want to be a similar?). The toy and miniature fox terrier are slightly different as they are descendants from the Fox Terrier significant breeds (cord and tender coated). i'm no longer an expert on the breed, yet i imagine that's regularly equivalent to the different canines with different sizes, yet they seem slightly different to different Fox Terrier breeds. you won't be able to get miniature aussies. that's in uncomplicated words some kinds of canines that were bred that way. I presume the position human beings were telling you that miniature breeds do not exist, they idea you've been pertaining to 'teacup' canines. those are many times runts of the muddle that are befell as rarer and cuter than the different doggies interior the muddle at a more effective fee. in the experience that they have got been purposely bred to be smaller, then they could have many wellness subject matters.

First of all, holy crap, spell check.
Second, there is no miniature basset. Anything that resembled anything like this description would be the result of breeding unhealthy bred-down runts. Even when breeding down from the standard size in a breed where it's actually recognized is not without its problems. Growing up I had a miniature dachshund that was completely neurotic.
Edit: Correction for another answerer--there ARE actually two sizes of beagles- 13'' and 15''.

Because there just isn't. And like the other answerers said, there is NOT a mini basset. There is ONE sized Basset, and ONE sized Beagle.

I've seen ads for mini bassets..but never seen one. Don't know why you'd want a mini hunting dog.
