Yes, they sure can. I would advise you to stop the antibiotic and call your veterinarian. Some antibiotics do not sit well with our furkids, your vet will prescribe another antibiotic. Do not continue to give her the medication without a call into your vet first. OK?
ADD: Typically, diarrhea is the first symptom and then followed by a lack of appetite. Do not allow it to get to that point.

Very much so. A dog's guts are very similar to ours and the healthy bacteria are killed off by the antibiotics as well as the bad ones. Any changes in the balance of the gut bacteria can cause diarrhoea, and it can even become life threatening depending on the bugs involved and degree of dehydration.
Probiotics are available for dogs, or if you can't afford vet ones then human probiotics eg actimel, yakult etc, will do (I have even given my equine patients actimel when in dire need of something!). For a medium dog (small lab, collie etc) I suggest 1/2 a bottle of human probiotic. Small-1/3 bottle, large-whole bottle. Ideally you would syringe it in but they will probably munch it from the bowl.
I would advise you to not do anything regarding the antibiotics until you have spoken to your vet. DO NOT STOP THEM. It may be critical to your dog's health that she stays on them (you didn't say what they were for) and changing the medication without consulting your vet is never a good idea.
It is worth noting that some of the bacteria that come from the dog's gut can cause diarrhoea in humans, especially if induce by antibiotics, so please wash your hands thoroughly after cleaning up the diarrhoea and keep any children away from it.

Antibiotics can cause bowel issues with humans and animals. To guess would be at the least a 50/50 chance. While on antibiotics is a good idea to consume 1 container of yogurt daily. An individual serving.

Yes it can because the antibiotics kill the good bacteria in the digestive track which causes irritation. Add some acidophilus capsules to the dog's food or buy some plain yogurt to help replace the good bacteria that was lost.

What ever the reason for her to taking them, the antibiotics will run you to remove what ever the problem, just like in humans!!! Keep giving her the meds if she has to continue, it's working.Oh, keep her in a area where you don't care so much about and put lots of paper down you'll going to need lots of paper and use bleach to clean the area so you can not catch anything from her.
Good luck!!!

first of all how long has it been since she has ingested the pills and has had diarrhoea. And second of all if this continues especially if her appetite decreases you must bring her to the vet or at least call a few vets until you get a answer where as most vet clinics will just tell you to bring her in. also to help with the diarrhoea buy some pedealite that is used for babies and give her a small dose of pepto bismal, see if that helps

It's possible and that certainly happens with humans as well. Call the vet - another antibiotic may be a better choice.

unfortunately it can be a side affect
cut down your dogs food to 1/5th of the normal and serve with a bland binder such as rice or egg
add a good helping of natural (not bio) yoghurt to sooth the stomach
many vets now give a supplement after anitbiotics that is sprinkled on the dogs food as they recover

that is pretty normal, dogs have bacteria in their gut for digestion just like people do. Suggest you either give your dog some yogurt mixed in his food, or give him an acidophilous capsule in a glob of peanut butter to replace the bacteria in his gut that the antibiotics wiped out.
