Does it tell employers whether its a felony or misdemeanor?

Ive had a misdemeanor charge on my record since april 2005. Just got finished with nursing school and lookn 4 a job. Will it say on the background check that its a misdemeanor or will i have to tell them?

It will probably show but it wouldn't hurt to tell them.

A misdemeanor will stay with you forever just like luggage.

Most applications ask if you have been convicted of a crime (except traffic charges). You must answer the question.
