There is this lady at my church. Every sunday, she sits at the front of the church with these beautiful clothes. She has all these fancy looking dresses. A new one for each Sunday and then she's always having these spasms during the service. Well... I wouldn't say spasms, but she gets up and kind of throws a holy tantrum, liking chucking her high heels across the sanctuary and doing the moonwalk in the aisle. However, when it's time to give money to the collection plate, she quickly thrusts it over to the next person. I'm just thinking after all that, it's surprising at she has no money for the collection plate and if she can come to church in that type of clothing she should have money for the collection plate, eh? I am pretty sure this is what everyone in the congregation is thinking because we're all giving money!

Yikes! Don't show up in our church on Sunday morning!! Out of the 15 families that regularly attend service, 10 of them have standing bank orders set up. There is actually very little money in the collection plate. I print up the online statement every Friday and Pastor puts it in the plate, representing all of those who donated during the week. Could be that she is doing the same!! And the only ones who would know are the treasurer and maybe the pastor, as it should be.

Here's a thought, maybe she doesnt have any money. I have beautiful clothes, and to look at me you'd think I might have money , well I dont, 2 years ago when my financial situation was better I bought tons and tons of clothes and shoes, purses even and now today I dont have as much money but I still have clothes in my closet with tags on them. I dont leave my house without looking less than 100% but I only have money for my house and other bills. This could be whats going on with this lady or she may give money at bible study or before church, you really dont know, that's why we shouldnt judge people . We simply dont really know whats going on, we only know what we see. You continue to do whats right in your heart and your life will be better for it.

giving every time the collection plate comes by is a sin.....because the money is not used in the way God instructed.

passing the plate 2-3 times a week is harassment....no one gets paid that often

tithes are either to be eaten or given to the poor,,,, and no churches do this...

maybe she gives privately...

Attending church is a blessed thing to do. It is our duty to God.
While in church God still tests us. We will continue to see good and bad things that make up this world.
Let the lady do her thing. Let us not stray from why we went to church that day. And judging others for whatever their actions are is not the reason for us going to church simply to judge others. And please do not speak of others and what they might be thinking, if we went to church for blessing, we shall come out with less, or even none cause the joke is on us.
Amen and have a nice day

lol she's expressive isn't she !
She probably tithes. That is to promise a certain amount to your church ,usually 10 percent of your wages. She would send this in the mail every month. The Church really counts on this kind of support. They need people to rely on to help pay the monthly bills. Like the lights and heat and the minister. There are tons of people in your church that do this. Its nice to know that you throw in on Sunday mornings, too!

So you would prefer her to be generous to the collection plate and come to Church with no clothes on.
OK, I can understand that.

(and that you are a level one troll, nice work by the way. Some of your material is actually very good.
You are getting low on points and should answer questions for a while, at least until you have a level 2 account)

1. She's wealthy, and mails a huge check to the pastor every year?
2. She's hip to the fact that the church is misspending the $ on dumb causes.
3. She 'gives' to the pastor when his wife isn't looking, and is teaching Sunday school?
4. She has a germ phobia and doesn't want to touch that filthy collection plate and risk catching the flu?
Whatever; we all only get from life that which bounces back from our gifts.

If you don't really know this woman, you don't know what her money situation is. Maybe she gives money to the church is other ways such as a large donation or frequent small donations straight to the church's office rather than the weekly collection plate.

What she does or does not give is your business how? This is the issue a lot of people have with organized religion. So many of you think that salvation lays somewhere in that collection plate.

I give online to my church. I never put anything in the plate... Should I be judged by others because I don't use the plate?
