All I hear about and read about from Christians is that you need to pray to god all the time and with all your heart and then you will see miracles and he will show himself to you. Doesn't that contradict what you are always preaching at non-christians; that you just need to have faith. You don't need to understand you just need to accept God.

Well batgirl 2 went off on a tangent. Maybe I struck a cord. And by the way when I say Christians I know there is some exception to the rule I don't literally mean "all" Christians. And all Christians to preach. You are all preaching to me right now trying to make me see the "truth."

Oh and by the way I have done a lot of research on the bible. I was a christian for 21 years and studied the bible front to back. I say the light and left the church and believe christianity to be a hurtful crutch full of contempt and fear mongering. And yes I went to many many other churches and talked to many christians before leaving the church. It was not an easy thing to do but I made the right choice. So don't say that I need to read a fairy tale book.

Christan's want to see God in daily life to help them re-enforce the illusions the have. "Look at that mountain is shear magnitude tells me that my God created it" "Look at the crap that comes out of my but it such a miracle I can even make that happen". I like to call it constant reassurance. Something I no longer need because I count on reality. All people regardless of religion have the responsibility to learn about the world we live in. Now THAT would be a miracle!

Actually, and unfortunately, most don't. Most would rather just watch TV.
Faith and seeing miracles, though, go hand in hand. You are not going to see the miracles unless you have faith. Most think they have faith when they do not, so they decide that miracles don't happen anymore, then when someone is actually walking in the power of God, they call that false wonders.
I look at this as a way of taking the blame off of themselves.

I talk to Him constantly throughout the day in different ways. I ask for His guidance and anyone who is saved by Jesus Christ's blood and ask will receive it. He supplies and sustains every need me and my family have. If we see someone in need we do what ever we can to help them. We have no money hardly at all and the Lord comes through for us everyday. We have no savings, or anything to fall back on. We are truly blessed. We have the Lord Jesus Christ and that makes us among the wealthy that have Him too. Even if you have all the money in the world if you don't have Jesus Christ in your hearts and Captain of your life you are the poorest in the world. Money can't buy what we have. He is Awesome!! God bless everyone!! Thank you for asking this question. It is a great question.

Reading many questions from y! Q & A i see that a lot of people have a distorted vision of christianity.
NO it is not the way you put it.
God loves us and you and everyone else bcoz He chose to and i find this very beautiful that.. If nothing we ever did made Him love us nothing we will ever do will stop Him from loving us!
Miracles happen by Gods will and God reveals himself to those who have the Desire to see him and BY THAT desire they pray in FAITH and ask God to reveal to us Himself and His will in our lifes.
you just have it in the wrong order.
Sometimes it pays to do a little of ur own findings. (The bible)
Yes
I'm a christian.

When you are closer to God, the Holy Spirit brings peace, love, and literally eye opening experiences about yourself and the world. The more you pray and worship God, the closer you become. To do this it does require some kind of faith in Him. It is your conversation and relationship with God.

It doesn't to me. I have faith that He shows Himself to me.
I am not "always preaching" to anyone. In fact, I don't preach at all.
Also, I have never told anyone that he/she does not need to understand.
I was unaware that you had met with or spoken to "ALL THE CHRISTIANS." When did this happen? I am a Christian. You have not met me.
Apparently, you have never read any of my questions or my answers, or you would surely know that you are not speaking the truth about all Christians.
Why does it bug you that I see God in my daily life? If you knew me, you would not know that I see Him unless I choose to share it with you.

But true Christians see God everyday in simple things like ripples on a lake, a sunset, a laughing child, a kind stranger. I don't expect to see him walking down the street waving at me.

That's the biggest catch-22 in the Christian religion.
You have to believe in God based on faith, and pray to God in order to have him reveal himself to you.
All without any evidence of his existence.
They claim you can't understand the bible (which they claim is God's word) until you have the 'holy spirit' dwelling within you.
In other words, you have to accept it is true in order to be able to understand what it is you are accepting.

When you accept Christ as you LORD and SAVIOR you will understand. The main point to non believers is that GOD loves you very much and wants you to know GOD through our LORD Jesus Christ.
