Im not sure how to go about buying a car stereo for a car that is not mine, its for my boyfriend for christmas. I know its a two door jeep... i wanna say wrangler.. but i could be wrong. Its two door... If someone would help me fidure out what kind of jeep this is and maybe what size of car stereo I should buy, that would be amazing! feel free to ask me some more questions of that is what it takes, it would make me the happiest girl alive!

You can buy any type of stereo, I would just suggest to spend a few extra dollars because a crap cd player in a jeep will skip a lot. You will also need a wiring harness and an installation kit(possibly a antenna adapter depending on the year). Check out best buy or a place like that...try to stay away from a radioshack or walmart.

crutchfield.com will walk you through the choices you have to make but eventually you're gonna have to find out the size of the radio openings which do vary on some jeeps, but most are standard "Single Din" sized radios.
I would also recommend letting him in the loop on this, Is he into his car at all?? Theft deterrent should be a major consideration on a jeep if it is a wrangler with a soft top.
I would do a best buy gift certificate, never fails... Suprises are great and all but a man's car is a special thing

Do not buy anything for your boyfriend's vehicle (or anyone else's for that matter), as most people have a personal, and sometimes VERY defensive, attachment to their cars. You would be better off buying a gift certificate at a car stereo retailer. Of course, this is presuming that your boyfriend even wants or needs it!
