Look up old questions about this. This has been asked too many times. The ONLY thing the 360 has going for it is that it has a larger game variety - right now. By the end of summer 2008, the PS3 will have just a large library, with better exclusives (like always). That's the truth. The 360s have 33% failure rate, that's unacceptable to spend you're money on something that has the great of a chance to crap out on you.

For the ignorant individuals who keep saying that PS3 is only a Blu-ray player, then tell me why so many developers are using the extra storage space on games? Okay, then.

I own both and Xbox 360 Elite and a 60gb PS3. People say the 360 has a larger game selection which may very well be but the only ones worth playing are Halo, Bioshock, Orangebox (which is now on PS3 anyway), GOW, and Mass Effect.... thats it... and all FPS except one. 360 may have good games but no variety... the other games they do have that aren't FPS suck. PS3 has WarHawk, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, Resistance, Ratchet & Clank, Ninja Gaiden and with GT5, MGS4, FFXIII, and sometime in 2009 God of War 3... all exclusive to PS3... I have to tell you that I spend way more time on my PS3 than I do on my 360. I paid $599 for my PS3 when it first came out... that includes a bluray player, it upscales DVDs, web browser, free PSN, and many more things.... I spent $479 on my Elite back in August and it doesn't do half of what the PS3 does... People can say what they want but come Q3 of 2008 you will see PS3 starting to dominate the market once again. There will be MGS4, Haze, KZ2, Home, and many others by then and the PS3 is far better in technology than the 360. Don't get me wrong I still like my 360 but when it comes down to it I believe the PS3 will be the stongest system at the end of this console war.

In all honest, it is personal preference.

In terms of Tech Specs, the PS3 is far superior to the Xbox 360, but the 360 (due to be out for 15 months longer) has a bigger selection of games.

I have both systems - my advice would be: if you would like to play Halo, get a 360 - otherwise go with the PS3.

Don't forget, that the 360 also has a 33% failure rate (means 33 out of every 100 fail)...PS3 has a 0.2 failure rate (that is less than 1 out of every 100) fails. Even the newer 360's are failing (not as much as the old one's) - just check out the 360 page on here!

The Xbox 360 Elite is the best because it has a 120GB hard drive. It has really good graphics and unlike the PS3 you can play games on a number of different consoles.

For this reason and many more which I can't be bothered to list I prefer the Xbox 360 Elite.

Cheers.

own both consoles, i prefer the 360 cos of the variety and they are nearly always cheaper. on some games the ps3 is slightly better than the 360, on average they are pretty similiar. either one you cannot go wrong with.

If you want a game system get an Xbox 360..

If you want a Blu-ray player which can also play games get the PS3..

The Xbox 360 has the largest games library and contrary to what the 'one day when I grow up and am bigger than you' PS3 people would like to believe the Xbox 360 won't be standing still while the PS3 catches up.. the Xbox 360 will always be a year ahead...

Don't believe what you are hearing about Xbox 360 failure rates.. that's old news.. they fixed it for the ones they are selling now..

Good luck..

If you want a glorified dvd player get a ps3. If you want a video game system you can also play movies on buy a 360. 360 is more gamer friendly. Xbox live by itself should be the deal breaker even if it does cost $50 per year.

Depends on the games and the xbox360 has more better titles at the moment.
