I am 24, I have a 36 YO boyfriend, he is a dr, and I am a nursing student. He helps me is nice to me and is always there for me. He is a great guy. I however dont have crazy butterflies for him, and dont like the thought of being with him forever. I feel I need him now and I like his support, and we have sex and enjoy it. I just kind of still want to meet someone else down the line. He is basically filling in time. I think he is aware i am not serious. Is this bad, or can we just enjoy each others time temporarly because neither is very serious or into marriage.

I gaurentee you if he wants to be serious and doesn't realize your not serious he's gonna feel hurt later on. You might wanna tell him you don't want nothing serious and even if it messes things up at least it will be quick and easy and not later when the feelings got stronger.

I would just enjoy it too. It's not like a 36 year old doctor is really looking to settle down when he is dating a 24 year old college student. Just enjoy the time and see what happens.

well there is nothing wrong in it as far as you are concerned bit have you ever thought about him....if he doesn't seem too serious about it then then no problem the very fact that you think you are wasting your time but you still like his company and you ask this question in a manner that you fell guilty about it......you're right this is confusing....its better to stick with him as long as you don't find anyone better.... you have time you're just 24 so use this time searching for a soulmate rather than trying to add the "soul" to a "mate"

its fine if you like using a guy and he likes using you. Basicly that is all you guys are doing to eachother.
He is liking the fact that you are younger and a in a daze about him being a Dr.
You like something that you did not metion but like I said if you guys are fine with using eachother for the time being then who cares. Just hope you dont get pregnant even if you guys are protected.

If you both have the same expectations out of your relationship, then it's just fine!
Now, if HE were thinking it was serious while YOU were just "filling in time", that would be a different story.

it is ok to date someone and not be serious. however if you dont know for sure that he is aware you dont want to be serious then you should tell him. but other wise you are not wasting time you are having fun and as long as he is ok with that enjoy :)

Don't stress over it, if it's not what you both want, it'll fizzle out over time. However, if it's making you un happy or you're feeling like your just wasting both your time, then end it sooner rather than later
