For example if you think Pam Anderson is very attractive, would that mean you are lusting after her? And you if you are lusting wouldn't that be a sin?

Well their isn't anything wrong with being sexually attracted to the opposite sex. That's just how God made us. Lust however is more than just having a natrual attraction for someone of the opposite sex. Lust is desire out of control. When you look at a girl as if she were an object for your pleasure that is lust. Is it wrong to think she's attractive? No; but it is a sin to look at her with lust.

If you believe in sin then lusting is a sin.

Lusting means acting on your attraction. You can find someone attractive but not do anything about it.

Sin is a concept invented by man to control men.
Being sexually attracted and lust are one and the same.

lust is wanting to do something about it.

I think a ferrari is a sweet looking car, but I'd never want to own one, and I don't particularly care to drive one, even if I could.
If I see a pretty girl in a pretty dress, and I say "wow, she pulls that off well." and I admire the dress choice for body type, and acknowledge that she is attractive, that's one thing.
If I attempt to hit on her, or even just imagine doing things with her, then that's lusting.

When I walk by a Kentucky Fried Chicken and sniff the air, I lust. And yet I can safely say that I do not find a rotund white bucket with a Colonel on it attractive in that way. :)

Lust in your mind is the same as rape if you had no moral inhibitions to hold you back.

It is lust if you find your mind going back to some woman because they are sexually attractive to you, and you keep thinking how nice it would be to ... (fill in the blank for yourself). And yes, it IS a sin.

There is no difference. Two different descriptions to explain a natural event.

It is natural for a man to look at a woman with sexual interest. That is what propagates the species and why most of us do it.

If you have found the ability to stop that from happening in your life, you may want read up on what the bible has to say about homosexuality.

Either way the bible has you requiring the blood of sacrifice to avoid torture.

It's not wrong to find someone sexually attractive. Lust is wrong because it's coveting something that does not belong to you. God gave us that sexual instinct. The human race would not last long without it.

A Big Difference !

You can acknowledge that a woman is very attractive.
That's no problem, However, if you look at her and fantasize about having sex with her, thats Fornication or Adultry

Matt. 5:27, “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery’; 28 but I say to you, that everyone who looks on a woman to lust for her has committed adultery with her already in his heart."
