You haven't told us how serious your TB infection is, so I'm going to assume that its active, but not too bad.

Your doctor is right to pull the antibiotics, perhaps you could suggest to him that he might consider a different combination. It is exceedingly unlikely that your TB will develop into one of the two major drug resistant forms (rTB of XDR TB). However unless your doctor specifically tested for them, your TB could be drug resistant.

The best thing to do is to go back to your doctor and tell them that you are concerned about this.

I would advice you to visit a good chest physician. there are anti-TB drugs available which are less harmful to the liver and there are many people suffering from drug induced hepatitis so don't worry you won't landup with drug resistant TB

Hi there, good question and intelligent one too..
Mostly what the doctor will do is stop the regime till you are cured of Hepatitis and then change the regime, and give you medications which are safer for your liver too..okay ?
wish you a speedy recovery !
best wishes too..

Your hepatitis is more life-threatening than your TB. Therefore, you should stop taking the AKT-4 immediately. AKT-4 has four different tuberculostatica, but Rifampicin and Isoniazid are the stronger hepatotoxic drugs. For further information, please read:
