If you feel guilty then take some of it to a food bank and help out those in need this time of year. It is also a great lesson for kids. My daughters and I just participated in a food drive at their school, to help our local food bank for Christmas. Another nice thing is to buy food for it you would buy for yourself, I did go to our Grocery Outlet but I do shop there myself and I did not buy anything I would not put in my own cupboards. To often people donate the cheapest things they can find while they would never put it in their own pantry.

My fridge and freezer is always overstocked, NO I'm not greedy.......5 of us in the house and I never want to run out of anything, because I know how it is , I run out of salt, go to the store come out with a $50 bill? hmm.....so I'd better have everything on hand and do my shopping once a week.

We have a problem of making a lot of food over the holidays. A lot of it usually goes bad in the end too before somebody is able to eat it. We try to be too careful, wanting to make sure we have enough for everybody, and it ends up being too much.

Absolutely positively. 'Christmas' has become more about money than about anything spiritual. It is the quintessential expression of American greed and selfishness. Not in every single case, not for every single individual, but certainly in the aggregate. You've done enough. If people aren't satisfied that says lots more about them than you. Try to have some fun and celebrate the joy of giving without 'obligations'.

I purposefully dont buy anything this week, because we'll eat so much at the inlaws and have left overs.
My cupboards and fridge are bare.

I prefer to think of it as being prepared for anyone who wants to stop by and share some holiday cheer :-) I like to have treats ready for guests.
Plus there's nothing I hate more than running out of coffee on Christmas morning...
Merry Christmas!
