Ideas are dangerous. If one questions what they believed enough, they may no longer believe it. For this reason, those that hold interest in certain ideas do their best to eliminate interest in other ideas.

I don't know why.
That is a totally legitimate question. There is no evidence he was married and no evidence he wasn't married. The very fact that 18 years of his life is totally missing from the buy-bull is suspicious.
Of course, the ignorant fundies are too narrow minded to even consider it. Why does Jesus have to be a virgin, for Christs sake?

All my questions that express doubt in a historical Jesus end up in the delete pile as well. There are certain questions the Christian report monkeys will not permit to be asked.

To answer the question within your question -
I don't think marriage makes any difference to the nature of Jesus as God, nor does it impact what was accomplished on the cross, in the grave or upon His Resurrection.
With that said, I don't think He was married. Marriage is such an important part of God's designs for mankind that Jesus being married would have been clearly made by Jesus himself, as well as the apostles, in my view.

I guess someone found it offensive.
I am not sure what my church teaches but personally I would have said it is very likely that Christ was married and had children BECAUSE if he to be perfect to complete his mission of attonement and there are commandments that we must "go forth and replenish the earth" then he would have had to have obeyed that to be Perfect. However there is no eveidence for that in Bible - but there is no evidence that He changed his clothing or went to the bathroom - but it is taken as a given that He did them.

Becuase there are some bad staff on answers I guess.
I believe it is fairly possible that Jesus was married. The Gnostic Gospels likely hold some truth.

because people on this religion area are pretty quick to report others, the christian folks don't tolerate any "out of the box" thoughts / questions
I agree with Murazor, simple and to the point

I don't know. To answer your question..Since Jesus said that..
12 For there are eunuchs who were born thus from their mother’s womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He who is able to accept it, let him accept it.”
Jesus never asked man do do what he didn't do.

well at least the mormon mafia at yahoo didn't delete the question, they believe he had three wives...Mary, Mary and Martha. If jesus is so perfect, he doesn't need a women, he doesn't need sex, why would perfection need sex?
