"The Holy Spirit shall come upon you, and the power of the Most High shall overshadow you"

Fellow Christians we need both the anointing(The Holy Spirit Shall come upon you) and the power of God (and the power of the most high shall overshadow you) to accomplish God's will in our lifes.

I think that you said exactly as the verse was meant to be translated.

This passage of Scripture [ Luke 1:26-38 ] is referring to
the conversation between the angel Gabriel and the virgin
Mary, in that God had chosen her to conceive through the
over shadowing of the Holy Ghost the promised Messiah.

Believers recieve the Holy Spirit, when they are Born Again
[ converison], [ Ephesians 1:4 -15; John14:16 -18 ].

Nay Nay to such Law Law

Luke 1:35 (Authorized KJV: Holy Bible)
And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Pst: God is a "Spirit" (not a Ghost)
Pst: what the Spirit saith "unto churches" is in Galatians
Pst: over-"shadow" speaks of "law"(Heb 10), not grace
Pst: there is no respect of persons with God, NONE at all
Pst: that God is light(grace), having no darkness(shadow)
Pst: if an angel says other wise, let him be accursed: Gal 1
Pst: endure to the end to be saved, not saved + destroyed

His Grace --> Mercy ---> Peace with you all. Amen.

I Agree plus you have to have Christ die for your sins and be resurrected to complete the trinity. Another example of this is in Acts when Stephen is being stoned...

Acts 7:55
But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

Here the trinity is all in place

Silly......!

Those PARTICULAR Verses.... were To Mary.... the Mother Of JESUS.....!

The Anointing YOU speak of ..... was for a Particular Time... and ..... Purpose!

Did YOU Miss.... These Verses...?

ONE Cannot be A Real Christian.... WITHOUT ... HIS .... HOLY SPIRIT....!

(Rom 8:9) But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. = Now if any man = have not = the Spirit of Christ,= = he is none of his.

PLEASE....... Read Your Bible..... CORRECTLY!

Thanks, RR

You are not reading this the way the author intended it. This is the language used in the OT when God's Spirit came upon the Ark. Do not exhalt yourself so highly that you believe you are equal to the Ark of the Old Testament, or to Mary, the New Ark of the New Covenant..

If you are a Christian, it has already happened. It says ...SHALL come upon you.....and SHALL overshadow...., not might, or you need to do anything to make it happen. All you have to do is accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

We have the Holy Spirit, when we are Born Again.

And YES-we always need to power of God, in order to keep doing that which God wants us to do, since we don't have the ability to do it ourselves.
