I added "Adblock" extension to Firefox, and it's working great. Thanks for the reference.

I haven't heard the Gap ads, but the talking ads drive me nuts. Why would they do that? I also hate the ones that float right into the middle of your screen, and it takes a full 5 minutes to find the "close" button on them. Oh, and those ones with the dancing people. They freak me out.

The advertisementa are really putting off. This is the problem with commercial people. As soon as a few people are attracted to it, they start doing things just to earn profits, even if it comes at the cost of losing the initial customers. I just hope the concerned people are listening otherwise people who really make yahoo answers worthwhile will stop visiting the site altogether!

My reaction was to go into my IE tools, Internet Options, Programs, Manage add-ons, and disable the Shockwave Flash Object. No more Gap ad!

Scared the living sh** out of me. First time I had one appear, I was on here, very late at night, with the sound on the computer turned almost all the way off - but not quite. Kept hearing voices... thought I was going mad... muted the computer to 'hear' it better... it stopped... unmuted computer, and it was still gone... 10 minutes later, voices... same routine... took a while for me to turn the computer UP and realize where it was coming from... LOL

My reaction? Ew. Why is the jet fuel being dumped in the ocean? I hit refresh as soon as it comes up.

Yahoo is making me hate the Gap.

I now am branded to have bad feelings every time I see a Gap store. I feel inconvenienced and feel like the Gap is going to waste my time.

I have my sound off because I'm in school, but from what I gather from other questions is that the ads are extremely annoying and just need to disappear.

The first time I heard it I had several pages open, 2 kids running around and the TV on - I thought I was losing my mind.

I hate that woman's voice.

I hate them. It is especially annoying if you open three or four questions at the same time. Of course I have been hearing them for weeks now in other categories.

Yes. I turned the speakers off. What are they thinking, putting this ad on here?
