I received a stye for my Birthday. haha I would like to get rid of it. I have used antibiotic eye drops, warm cloths and last night a tea bag. So far it's ugly and red and itchy. Please help. Desperate for Christmas to get rid of it.

a warm moist compress for 20 minutes every hour, it generally takes about 5 days for a sty to resolve.

The medication that is sold for styes is a mixture of two things: mineroil oil and vaseline. I usually buy the stuff for about 8 bucks a tube, then I figured out what it was. IT does help, but if you have these things at home already, just mix them up and put it on your eye. Keep your fingers out of your eye too, and apply the med with q-tips.

I'll doubt you'll be satisfied with my answer because it can be painful and sort of gross. But If you would like to drain it just to help be rid of it all of the quicker, then locate the main eye lash that protrudes from the stye and pluck it out with a pair of tweezers. This will allow the stye to drain and go away. My mom taught me this method and it actually worked for me. It may not sound like the most sanitary and clean way of doing it. But it worked....Oh yeah, here's a little helpful fact. Most Stye's occur due to a lack of essential vitamins. Be sure to take a multi-vitamin on a daily bases to prevent them from occurring.
