I mean, if God had a plan for me to do some great things, but someone else used their free will to shoot me in the head while robbing me... could that happen? Was it Gods plan for me to get shot, and, if, so how was it free will?

gods plan is more intelligent then giving you only One path to get there. Either wise God would be some dum human. Gods plan is a map within your heart. Your gut feelings tell you what feels right or wrong to you. The plan of God is simple, for each one to Be. Wether be for a moment in existance as you are, or to Be for many years. That is all. Everyone has Free Will, and since all you have to do is Be., that free will is present for each and all. What you learn though, is that every action of everybody effects the Whole group of existing Beings, that are to Be. And so, if there are more killers then kind folks, then eventually the killers will learn the hard way by killing every single one . Yet certainty allows for even the killer to learn. once they realize they need help to survive, they stop killing and use there free will to Be more at peace with others, so Then , at peace , allows each other to flow more in sync with each other . im getting wayy off topic and too long of an answer LOL. im sure you got mmy answer within this. but basically no, it does not effect gods plan. free will is a part of gods plan, gods plan is for others to just Be in existance to use there Free Will.

That's a good question. I myself don't fear death itself. I fear that I won't be able to accomplish all that I've set out to do before I die.
I can relate to your question.
I believe that free will is a blessing and punishment at the same time. So many times I hear people talking about "If god is so great why can't he stop the war in Iraq, or feed the world and save the children?" and my response to those people is this... Free will is a gift, meaning, we are able to enjoy the pleasures of art and music to it's most creative potential. We are able to manifest sinful thoughts and create emotional songs and dance. Without free will we wouldn't enjoy the creative abilities we all take for granted. HOWEVER, the drawback of having such freedom is that if someone chose to use those creative abilities to manifest evil intentions toward another human being, than by the law of free will, that person may take a life.

To answer your question more direct... I don't believe God has a plan for us on an individual basis. I bet he's starring down at us to see if someone will use the gift he gave us (free will) to the benefit of mankind and ourselves. If someone shot you in the head, you would parish and that's it. We've been given free will so we must choose our own path.

god has no plan for you. You are the person who decides each day what you will do. You can submit your "Plan" to the will of someone else - they want to go to movie and invite you - you agree to go. You can avoid submission - refuce to go and continue on with you plan for the day. or you can impose your plan on someone thereby involving them in your life - Ask themt o a movie, date, sports event. They can avoid coming under your influence, and influencing your activity by their presence, by refusing.

You are for more under the plan of people and events around you.

You can be a victim of circumstance at any time. Auto accident, plane crash, riot, earthquake, fire - all either natural events or the result of human actions.

If god had a plan for you then there is a plan for everyone. That means that god plans for someone to kill you or blow up 37 people at a mosque or have 2400 people killed in a falling building. Pretty vicious god I would say. That plan would also include starvation, AIDS, HIV, serial killers, rapists.... Very vicious and hateful god. imagine all the planning it takes to put people in the way of a gunman in a shopping mall.

Remember that if god created all things, then all people, believers or not, are under his influence. There is no such thing as free will. You cannot have it both ways. There either is a plan or not because the bible clearly states that people are ALL gods children and will stand in judgement.
So to get to your specific question - If god has some plan for you, that plan might just include someone blowing your brains out and tossing you aside like chaff from wheat. Your death would be included in the plan. Once again - you cannot have it both ways. There is a plan or not and this condition applies equally to everyone.

God's plans for our lives aren't quite so specific. God isn't a puppet-master pulling the strings on every person's life. Generally speaking, God's plan for your life is this: Do justice, Love mercy, and Walk humbly with God. Or to say the same thing in a different way: Love God and love others. No one can interfere with that.

I would define God's "plan" as the laws of the universe, and not something that contains intention, at least on an individual level.

You have free will, of course, but the laws of the universe cannot be broken. If someone shoots you in the right place, and it causes enough damage, you will die. That's more of a logical "rule" for God to make, in my opinion--everybody has to follow it, whether they like it or understand it or not.

God "created" a universe where sh!t happens, but allowed us to evolve brains to try and avoid as much of it as we can, IMO.

i would say that person wasnt using Gods plan but it would of been up to you to persuade them to turn from there evil deed. Gods plan is for you to serve in his ways of how God wants us to be and to others. Thats Gods plan and you can make a difference to make the world a better living place. If read the bible it consists of metaphors.

No, God's will takes into account the wills and actions of others. When Joseph was sold into slavery, he went through several trials, even imprisonment, but eventually became the right hand of the Pharaoh of Egypt. Jospeh's bothers came to Egypt wanting to find food because of the famine. Joseph helped them and the Jewish tribe. The brothers, realizing who Joseph was, didn't understand why he was so good to them. Joseph replied that "what you meant for evil, God meant for good."

Yes that could happen. But God Has a way of protecting his people when they trust in him. To all who think i am talking out of my butt, thumbs down me if you want i dont care. but there were three times when someone i love should have died the cicumstances around each occurance showed that he should not have survived. but he did with barely a scratch on him. the Police and Doctors could not figure out how he walked away from it. God protects those who trust him.

If God were to chose one path for you to take, and the other person were to interfere, that would basically be all a part of gods plan.. we are all on one path, but in life we take short cuts, detours, and side streets; it is only a factor of life. for what path god has put us on, is the path we will end up on at the very end. free will only goes so far until you fall back into his plans. so, in short words, things happen for a reason, and god has given that reason.

First question could that happen? Yes. God does give you free will, its is very diffucult to wrap our human minds around a God idea Duet. 29:29 explains a lot for me.....

I got a better one for you...

I'm assuming you have accepted God as you Saviour, with that said "Did you choose God or did God choose you" if you choose him then all the glory would be yours and we know thats not right
