With the Mega churches all over the place, the thousands of denominations, the whole "I am not religious I just have a personal relationship with Jesus" gimmick and the impersonating of other faiths to sucker in converts.

Is Christianity ALLOWED to "jump the shark"? After all, Henry Winkler (a.k.a. "Fonzie", the original shark-jumper) is Jewish....

I for one, have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. And I dont think its right for other christians to be rude on here some of these answers dont reflect Jesus to me. Come on, Jesus is all about Loving your niebor, and loving Christ. I think that needs to be happening, and I dont see this in some of the answers on here, so I apologize on behalf of any rude comments made by others on here. I think you should take a look at waht God is really all about, and find a bible believing church, and open you heard and let God speak.

Why do you care? There is a very broad spectrum of Christians, from Kentucky snake handlers to cloistered Greek Orthodox monks that at the core all believe the same basic tennet, that they are saved by grace and belief in Jesus Christ. It doesnt matter the size of their churches, their manner of worship or what denomination they call themselves, they find great comfort in it.

Mega churches will run their cycle also. In the meantime, there are many Christians quietly building their humble place of worship, doing good works for others, and continuing the message of Christ. You forget about us. We we always exist.

1st Mega church = Cathedral

"Personal relationship with Jesus" = Protestantism

These ideas have been around for a while. I don't agree with them, but don't find them contemptible either.

I agree with you. But keep in mind that the New Testament tells us Christianity would devolve into what it is today. It's actually an important prophetic sign.

Please also remember that there are still some of us around who truly love God and respect His commandments.

Jumped the shark.Jumped the gun.Jumped something anyway....

I always wondered how personal is a "personal relationship".I have a personal relationship with someone. We do "personal" stuff together. And then we both get showers when we are done. What we do beforehand that requires a shower, well, that is personal.

They have jumped the shark several times. I think Christianity is in its final struggles. Kind of like how a chicken thrashes around just before it dies.
