im muslim n i live in iraq, baghdad...viel is optinal in my religion but my father is very strict n he very religous..i tried to talk 2 him n tell him that i dont want it but he threated me ..if i said no again he will hurt me..i have no place 2 run..no ppl i no who can help me..what should i do..plz help me

Children are to be submissive to parents. Obey your father because it is the right thing to do. Wearing on e of those isn't going to kill you tho it may be annoying to have to do that which you don't want.
Life will be easier for you if you do what your father requests as he isn't asking you to do a hard thing.

honey i am christian and am from european country but i can understand u. actually maybe he just thinks of u by saying this. immagine than here we wear smth on our head also: caps in summer not to let sun burn us, and in winter autumn and spring thick caps from wool. its nearly same just veil is more nice and sexy :) dont stick to such things hun wear veil its good for several reasons . life is beautiful :) pray to god and take care of ur head. :)

Honor your father and your mother. Do what they tell you.
Plus, from a west standpoint, the veil is very sexy.
