Are they stopping global warming?

Question

all this damage people have done is making me highly stressed!
knowing that things are damaged, and not knowing what might happen in the future is causing this!!

Please tell me if they are or not!!

Yes - Laws are being passed right now making global warming illegal. Soon it will be punishable by jail time to make the globe warmer.

Caitlyn, what makes you think something is damaged? Carbon dioxide is not a pollutant, it is part of the carbon cycle and is essential for life. The global warmers have people all shook up about climate change and the climate is just not changing that fast. This rate of change is nothing out of the ordinary

My personal footprint is 2.9 which is 4.6 less than the average of 7.5.

My honey's is 4.95 which is 2.55 less than the average of 7.5 (He has farther to drive to work.)

So why did I calculate this out? Some of you may ask yourselves. Because I wanted to show you how foolish you are.

Edit: Oh for giggles I checked the 2006 version of the same car I drive now (The calculator doesn't have 2007 or 2008 models on it yet.) my personal rating goes down to 1.4. Just by buying a newer model of the exact same car.

We are all going to feel the effects because it is too late. I hate to say that. That doesnt mean we shouldnt do anything. Even if we stopped all emmissions today, global temps would rise at least a couple of degrees which would have a big impact. Every little bit helps though. From changing regular light bulbs to efficient ones or conserving fuel, etc. Everyone has to be smart and work together.

They? You and I and every person in the world has to do it, because global warming is not caused by a few people. It is the sum total of all the little contributions of every person on the planet, including you and me. One person, or a small group of people did not cause it and cannot stop it.

No. Most of the global warming is actually being caused by our vehicals that are expelling out harmful gases into the atmosphere. The best thing we could do is to find an alternative fuel to burn for our cars. Yes there are other things that are causing the green-house effect but our vehicals are by far the largest cause.

There is no On/Off switch. Its going to take a long, long time and no one knows if we will even be able to do much. Earth has already lost countless species of animals, bugs, plants & we lose more all the time.

Why should anyone take any responsibility to stop global warming if you're not taking any responsibility to help?

You say you're stressed; funnel that energy into something positive and do something yourself to stop global warning.

If you're not willing to help you have absolutely no business ranting about "them" not doing enough.

global warming is a real problem that will require gargantuan efforts to reverse. while you cannot change what others do, you can change what YOU do. what changes can you make in your life that reduce waste, and maximize the use of limited resources (gasoline, water, etc)?

become an activist -- the world needs more of them -- but don't sit around worrying about it -- worry doesn't create change.

No, they're not, in fact they're hiding the truth from us, didn't you hear about new plans for a manned flight to mars? That's because the government knows we only have about 20 years left here. Don't mean to stress you out, but it's over, we're all doomed.
