and opened the cabinet and there were all new glasses and dishes organized completely differently then my ex walked into the kitchen and was talking to me but we had to keep our talking a secret and then I walked out and I started asking my dad a question and he started sword fighting me.

You don't say how long ago your broke up with your ex, but I am getting the impression that it is pretty recent. It seems as though the glasses and dishes are pointing to a new order in your life, the kitchen points to a desire for a more tranquil domestic situation. I'm having trouble getting a line on why you need to keep it a secret that you're communicating with your ex, but it could be that you have unfinished business with him, or perhaps you are telling people one thing about why you broke up, but keeping the real reason for the break up a secret for some reason. Maybe your dad doesn't understand the reasons why you broke up, and thinks you should have stayed married, it could be a point of contention.......

Seems as though there is a new domestic change in your future, and it probably will be a point of contention between you and your father. What changes in your life might he feel strongly about or disagree with?
