You need to fight this! Others managed to lose weight, why would it be different for you? I think you should restart the diet from you dietitian, and count your calories this time. Use a diet and fitness planner, this way you`ll know when you ate too much. You can find a good one at projectweightloss.com. Their weight charts allow you to enter your target weight and shows if you`ve eaten more than you should or less. They also have a large community that can offer you support. Take care!

"Diet" is a four letter word. If diets, in the pop culture definition sense, were effective, there wouldn't be a zillion of them out there. I basically eat what I want, when I want, but like others said, I keep my portions under control. I also eat whole, real foods as well. No, I do not deprive myself. I still have chocolate, but in the forms of chocolate soy milk, all natural chocolate chip granola bars from Trader Joe's (a chain of natural foods stores with really cheap prices; The granola bars are only $1.99 a box), and I even have some chocolate cake that I made myself from scratch in the fridge. (It's vegan and I use whole wheat flour and apple sauce in lieu of the oil, so it's fat free). For the most part, I do portion out things, but only to a degree. One of the reasons why I portion is because I won't go through food as quickly and I don't have to buy more as quickly. It's about saving money as well. Also, if I, say, portion out a (rough) cup of soy milk or a rough serving of veggies (as suggested on the bag's serving size) then I won't have just a little bit at the end to deal with-- The stuff that's not quite a serving.
Regrettably, I don't exercise. However, I have lost 17 pounds in the past three months since I gave birth to my daughter.

You have to become committed. You say you have been on five different diets. Just because you gained weight after losing it doesn't mean that you gained the "same" weight. Your body goes through fluctuations expecially during menstruation. You might lose 4 lbs and gain 3, lose 2 lbs and gain 1. It doesn't matter, true loss zig zags it doesn't plummet. It probably would be best if you went on a diet program, watch your portions, exercise and leave the scale out of the picture. Before a diet can work, you musr first work the diet. Learn to understand your body and learn to make tweaks.

It's easier said than done. Add some exercise in there if you haven't all ready. Even go for walks when you get that urge to eat something more. Find a partner and it will even make it more enjoyable. I even enjoy swimming and water aerobics as I don't feel I have had a real work out as I haven't really sweat, but it helps. Fill up on water and eat more meals per day, but in smaller portions. Grab an apple or some celery when you have the urge to munch. I need to go back on a diet too. Holidays and stress are terrible to try to stay on track. If you need an online partner, email me and we can start together on a plan.

You are in the majority of the number of people who have a problem with weight gain and losing the weight.
Diets are hard to stick to because there is seemingly an empty feeling left within, even if there are foods and portions.
Starving triggers your body for your metabolism to slow down because it thinks you are trying to starve it. Once your metabolism slows down and you eat the slightest morsel, you gain weight because your digestive system has gone on "shut down."
When we stop eating foods we like, we crave for them and eat them in abundance, which makes us gain weight, too.
Try eating what you like, but in smaller portions. Gradually make the portions smaller and begin to eventually cut out some of your favorites such as starches and sweets.
If there is an activity you enjoy doing without eating (i.e., rollerskating, bowling, going to the mall, walking, jogging), do them. You may become so tired that you go home and go to sleep (this will keep you from eating if you are asleep). (SMILES)
If you are in a household where there are other people who eat or you have to prepare meals for other family members, avoid 'tasting' as you prepare the meals and deserts.
NEVER go grocery shopping when you are hungry. You will have a tendency to purchase many more items than planned and may pick up more snacks that will encourage you to eat between meals.

Diet is such a bad word. If you want change you need to make it a lifestyle change.
In regards to portion sizes: during a meal , have a serving and then go read of magazine or listen to a song. After about 10-15 minutes you will get the feeling of fullness. There is always a lag in the feeling of hunger and satisfaction when you eat.

First of all, when you are trying to lose weight, never look at it as being on a diet. What you need to tell yourself is ok, this is my lifestyle now. I have lost 30 pounds and how I did it was I kept a journal and wrote down everything I wrote. I went to www.dwlz.com to get calories and portion sizes. Make sure to exercise at least 30 mins a day.

Diets don't help all tehy do is starve you so when you eat you want to eat more!
Just walk more or do some kind of exercise trust me it'll burn off caleries & you can still eat resonably the hardest part is starting the exercise (if there's any activities you enjoy I suggest these I quite like riding my bike & run often so's not to be late but try your own random excerises that'll get you through the day without hindering you & it'll make it much easier)
Good luck :)
Merry christmas & remember yeah it IS CHRISTMAS If you don't put on any weight right now then there's something wrong! ENJOY CHRISTMAS THEN LOOSE THE WEIGHT!

the first thing is: pay attention to the size of your portions.
the second thing is: never give up!
it took me 5 hard years to come from size 14 to 6 - but I did it, and now I keep my weight. so can you.
the third: maybe try to combine the diet with working out. it helps, at least most people.
fourth: find some others that also want to lose weight, it is easier to lose in a group.
good luck

Ok i can tell you that you like to eat,but who doesnt?I do too ;)
what i suggest is to find the diet where would be more meal.Or lets say ask your dietitian to make the diet specifically for your need.If he/she going to say something different and say you cant do that GO AND FIND A BETTER DIETITIAN.Or find somebody who at least tried diets on himself.People cant give you diet if he/she never tried the diet himself. If i do give diet to some one i know i tried it myself and i do know how that diet works.
dont worry we all have thing or two to worry about, but in the end we see how easy that is once you find the right person who is going to help you.
So dont worry one more time ;) trust me you will be fine.
Good luck
