The two above answers are right in most women they ovulate in the middle of there cycle about 10-14 days after there period. But some women ovulate differently you can get pregnant at any time of the month, and being that sperm can stay alive in your system for 72 hours you should never take chances.
when I was trying to conceive I used the 10-14 day thing to become pregnant and a year with no baby so we gave up. Actually we stopped trying for a while because we both started new careers and decided to wait a while before we had a baby, so my husband and I (Now ex-husband) only had unprotected sex in non ovulation time and guess what I became pregnant.
So if you do not want a pregnancy don't have unprotected sex any time of the month.
P.S. she is now 22 months and I love her to pieces.

I had a miscarriage on March twenty sixth 2010, and obtained pregnant again a month in a half of later. Your very fertile. For three months after having a miscarriage. I've never heard that getting pregnant too quickly after a miscarriage could be dangerous, subject of reality my medical professional instructed me I would try once more as soon as I felt as much as it. I'm now 37 half of weeks pregnant with just a little girl, and doing pleasant. :-) i am being caused on the 20th, and i'm going to get to meet my baby girl on the twenty first. :-) you will have to be nice. Of coarse there is a hazard you could have one more miscarriage, however no longer seeing that you obtained pregnant so soon, simply for the reason that any woman who gets pregnant is at hazard of a miscarriage. Just don't fear too much. Take it effortless and let nature take its coarse. Very bluntly, ifyour going to have a miscarriage, its gonna occur it doesn't matter what you do, so there is not any factor in stressful about. I know that is simpler stated than performed although, but trust me, it's going to be nice. Good luck :-)

Although the majority of people will not be able to get pregnant 4 days before their period, it is quite easy to get pregnant 4 days after!

This is because a woman's "fertile period" is considered to be 5 days before ovulation and 1 day after. If the average woman ovulates on day 14 and menstruates for 5-6 days, then four days after her period would be day 10, which is smack bang in her fertile period!!

No it's NOT true. You can get pregnant at any time including DURING your period. It's just most likely that you will ovulate during the middle of your cycle and that is the time in which you can become pregnant.

For the majority of women this would probably be true. Ovulation occurs on average 10-16 days before her next period begins.

It's less likely that she will get pregnant, but not impossible.

This is called the "Rhythm" method of birth control, because it tries to take advantage of the rhythm of a woman's ovulation cycle. But there is a name for people who depend solely upon this method to prevent pregnancy - they are often called "Parents".

Your best bet is to use something more dependable.

When it comes to pregnancy ANYTHING can happen. The body can be funny like that. There are always exceptions to the rule. For example, some girls have gotten pregnant when they were having their period. Go figure!

No, that's not true. It's always possible to get pregnant, even when you're on your period. It's less likely during that time, but it's always possible.
