I especially like Catanzos creative answer ,unfortunately stark raving loonies are usually bigger than me and so I avoid the physical confrontation as much as possible.
first of all, travel in packs when going places you re not sure of.
If this " Loony" is someone you know / work with / have to do business with keep as much space as possible between you.be polite/professional but don't encourage them and don't get caught alone.report any advances or inappropriate behavior towards your person.

Well, I work in Baltimore City, so, that's like every day to me. I just try to look away, keep walking or just smile and say nothing.

Depends how he approaches. Aggressive sly you run like hell screaming...Celley opened and hopefully dialing for help. If all fails...kick him in the BALLS ...Its sad that there is mentally dangerous people out with us "NORMAL" people. I like my fellow nice men and woman and kids.
