Funny that if the winter had stayed mild the gloom and doom lot would be saying 'its all our fault for burning petrol, rainforest and daring to spray underarm aresols etc.

Now its cold, silence.

The governments must love that lot as they can positively encourage that kind of beleif so they can tax the butt off us on fuel usage etc.

What say you sados who ought to be out Christmas shoping?

EN TU CABEZA a sado is a sad person who like me is wasting time mucking about on a PC instead of having a joyus time Christmas shopping.

To you negative lot I hope it does warm up by a few degree sooner than 30 years!

The gov has brainwashed you into driving small cars or riding bikes etc whilst they and most of society squander like never before. Enjoy life, let the granchildren pick up the piecies like we inherited crap from our elders.

I obviously have the sort of head that you can see through. And one person here has emailed me to say I am stupid and an idiot. I wonder why people as so afraid that they resort to abuse rather than than debate an issue seriously - still it does make it fun to see how some people respond.

I would have thought that it is obvious that the climate is a very complicated system. In this situation we are looking at trends and the attached graph shows the trend clearly.

Graphs like this does not explain why the trend is there. That is the question.

Winter starts today December 21st. The last 3 weeks of Autumn have seen very cold weather over most of the U.K.
with below average temperatures. However, for most of the last 20 years temperatures have been above average; we have suffered droughts, floods and heatwaves, including the heatwave of summer 2003 that killed thousands throughout
Europe; spring is occurring slightly earlier each year; birds that used to migrate south for the winter are staying in England; all over the world droughts that disrupt agriculture are more and more common; hurricanes are more numerous and severe.
The depiction of the existance of global warming is based on the monitoring of 20 years climate change throughout the world, and not on a 3 week cold spell in the U.K.

I don't know where you are, but it's pretty warm here - compared to other years. I think it depends on where you are. It is winter after all. It does get colder in the winter, and there may be pockets where it gets even bitter cold. You must be in one of them. You have to look at the temperatures all over. That's GLOBAL warming, not warming in your backyard only. In my backyard it's definitely been unseasonably warm. I didn't need gloves or a hat yesterday, and I almost didn't go out with a jacket, but it seemed too weird. And I'm not in Florida, I'm in NJ.

Yet the Arctic ice still continues to melt... The Northwest passage opened this year for the first time in centuries.

They say "Global Warming" is now called "Climate Change". Seems it depends on the season as to how serious the problem is.

And anyone who believes it is a problem has the sort of head you can see through!

Is a Sados, a Greek dish, like Stifados but without the relish!?

I am with you. They have to change the name of it so that they can keep talking about it year round. If they call it global warming, they have to think of other news stories when there is a foot of snow and its -10 degrees. This way we can hear about it all the time. Yipee! BTW what's a sados?

Yeah, the liberals sure love to preach and cram their Global Warming, end of the world speeches when we have freak warm winters, but now that its effing cold and I have to crank my heater up near 75 just to rekindle that spark of warmth back into my toes, they're nowhere to be found.

So in their honor, I'llI crank the thermostat up to 85 and use up some more natural gas and bask in the sweet irony :P

Not preaching doom and gloom, but still here.

BTW, it's cold because it's WINTER! I guess we do have to preach the obvious.

People talk such a lot of rubbish. Its winter - it always gets cold for at least some of the time but its still not as cold as it used to be. The issue of climate change does not go away just because the weather changes. Scoff all you like - you will have to face the consequences in the future.

Freezing our toes off, are we? Dude, it was 79 ºF here in Texas yesterday.

Incredible though it may seem, your backyard doth not the planet make.
