I ask because it seems I have a tremendous amount of bad things that happen to me, and I just don't understnad. Some way it's Bibilical for generational curses to come down generation to generation, but I"m unsure. Can someone help?

By the way, I am a Christian, and I am married to a Christian man. I am pregnant w/ my first child (a daughter), and I am 40 years old. My husbnad and I attend church and we are involved. We both live an upstanding (not sure if that is the right word) life, but we do have strange things that happen to us (the list is very, very long). We have an intense amount of "bad" things that happen to us that drain us financially, time-wise, and energy. I am becoming depressed and pray to God all of the time, but there has to be more. The other day a Christian woman said something about the Generational curse, and I am beginning to realize that this is what it is...

The Lord is slow to anger and rich in kindness, forgiving wickedness and crime, yet not declaring the guiltless guilty, but punishing children to the third and fourth generation for their father's wickedness.
I don't know what the "signs" are, but sometimes I feel as though I'm also living this curse.
EDIT:
My husband and I also have many bad things happen to us. We've had family members steal large amounts of money from us, and their lives just get better. Everyone that takes from us, seems to do ok, even when we press charges.
We trust in the Lord, not so much that our lives here will be wonderous, but that He will acknowledge our suffering and take us to Heaven when our time here is over.
Trust in the lord and just keep talking with Him.

Generational curses are broken by the blood of Jesus Christ.
They can only exist in the lives of those that hate God.
Exodus 20:5
Ezekiel 18:11-5
Jeremiah 31:29-31
Pray to be saved, or if you are already, pray to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Yes generational curses are quite real and sometimes they skip generations...things like witchcraft, alcoholism, cancer and sickness, can all be curses. The GREAT news is that Jesus died for our sins and when we was beat on the cross, those stripes he took were for the major sickness and dieseases of todays time. You have got to pray and bind those curses in the name of Jesus. His NAME is above all names and whatever you are going through or dealing with in your life, the name of Jesus saves all and is the cure! If you are having problems with generational curses, you need to pray, or better yet, pray with some believers to come against those things in Jesus name...where 2 or 3 are gathered...there is strength in numbers and I will pray with you tonight before I go to bed! When some one has something like you said curse is not that but is that are possed by a demond and bad things have nothing to do with that now if you are seeing bad stuff and you don't know what's that but is ugly stuff now that's because the devil is trying to attack you...yes curses happend but if you don't want that curse you are the only one htat can stop and say "no more curses!!!"but if you don't have JESUS in your heart you can't do that you gotta recodnize that you are a sinner...GOD BLESS YOU!!!!!(i'll be checking this site and i hope this helped you)
