After just 3 laps around the track, my asthma gets out of control and I don't know what to do. Can my lungs just adjust or am I stuck stopping, using my inhaler, and running another lap before having to use my inhaler again?

I want to get where I can run a mini-marathon by next year. (This isn't a new year's resolution) I also want to get back in shape for basketball because I want to try out again(MOST IMPORTANT REASON).

well, i have that same problem. i like to run, and i want to prove i can, but my ashtma gets in the way, and i look odd puffing my inhaler every lap. i think, the more you run, the better it will get. it may seem hard, but over time, you will notice a change. i would say for now, just keep running, and use your inhaler as much as needed. it will eventually get better, and maybe even go away.

Use your inhaler before you exercise. Try going back to the doctor and getting some medicine for it. My friend has asthma and runs in cross country. She just uses medicine.

Talk to a pulmonologist. You may be able to take Theophylline daily to reduce exercise induced asthma. If you keep a good blood level of this, you may be able to cut back on the use of your inhaler (though inhaler use is okay on top of the Theophylline) Good luck!

When you are exercising, you need to control your breathing. My husband was taught to breath in through his nose, out through the mouth, then reverse with the next breath, in through the mouth out through the nose. I don't have any health problems, but when walking up a large hill I use this method, and don't have one bit of trouble. You will have to start out slow, and build up so you can learn to regulate. The more you use your inhaler the more you need it.

u will hav to stop and use ur inhaler periodically whenver u need it. if u run frequently ur body will slowly acclimate to the running and u will eventually need the inhaler less and less but whenever ur dependent on it u must use it. it is vital for ur health and also for treating ur asthma. good luck ma niqqa

walking is useful excercise to burn your energy and once you do walking do it on a daily basis because it is going to save you slot and superb else you receives lazy you'll positioned on weight as you isn't burning the calorie. connect a health middle and do different excercises also or do yoga and pranayam

They offer pills for asthma now.

Ask your doctor if that is best for you.

My doctor offered it to me. My asthma happens once a week with me.

i also have asma and their is a puffer thast prevents asma attacts and its orange go to ur docter and get it
