This Jesus character convinced a bunch of people that he was the son of God. Nothing short of miraculous in my book.

I think miracle is not a clearly enough defined word. Most people use "miracle" to mean an intervention by god that results in a positive outcome. Obviously, since god doesn't exist miracles of this sort don't exist either. As far as your example of "cancer disappearing," that's not a miracle; it's just biology.

A smelly fisherman from Galilee using nothing more than sermons on the steps of the temple was able to tell the entire world about salvation without communications equipment.

Passover, tabernacles and pentecost were "pilgrimmage" holidays, and most of the world was represented at each of them by Jews traveling from various Jewish communities around the world.

That smelly fish guy turned the Roman Empire on its head in 200 years.

Top that one, bubba.

So many miracles so little time so I will tell a personal one. Last year I was on dialysis, Chronic kidney failure and other health issues. I was not faring well. Indeed I was near death a few times. Today I am free of dialysis. My doctors are baffled. God is good.

I'd say raising the dead is pretty incredible. If your looking for modern day miricles, they don't happen. People always say it's a miricle when someone overcomes an illness or injury....no it's not, it's called medicine and techniology, which are both possible because of God of course. But it's not a miricle.

I think raising Lazurus from the dead after several days was pretty impressive. But if you are looking for a modern miracle, I know of a man who was on his deathbed and given 24 hours to live. A friend prayed for him and 24 hours later he was fully recovered. That is the truth.

I am assuming you mean real life experiences. I would say a friend who had terminal bone cancer that completely disappeared. The docs simply cannot explain it ... last I heard he was still cancer free after 17 years.
